Testimonials not refreshing

    Public visitors are unable to see more testimonials when they refresh the page. The same two show the whole time. I can refresh and see new one when I’m logged into WP no problem.

    Wondering if it’s a server/hosting cache issue? I have no cache plugin installed.

    Also, would it be possible to offer an update with AJAX type reloading, rather than having to refresh page? No user wants to fresh page to see more, that’s a bit old fashioned surely?

    Thanks in advance, I love the theme otherwise, it was exactly what I was after!

    Hi Ramsay,

    This does sound like a server/hosting cache issue.

    I tested Pique on two different hosts (WordPress.com and Pressable) but the testimonials were correctly randomized on both of those sites.

    There is also a method for bypassing heavy caching built into the randomization function. (The function is named pique_get_random_posts and can be found in the theme’s functions.php file, if you’re curious.)

    If you’re not using a plugin, can you contact your host directly to see what may be causing this? It would be good to know what caching they have in place.

    It won’t be possible for us to roll out such a large change to the theme, as it would impact everyone who is using it. You could, however, consider creating a child theme and implementing reloading functionality yourself (or possibly hiring someone to do it for you).
