After I updated to Strong Testimonials 2.51.2 followed by the Astra Pro 3.1.0 update, the footer testimonials widget disappeared. I am running WordPress 5.7 with a custom child Astra theme. I contacted Astra’s support team, and they traced the problem to Strong Testimonials, which does not display even when the default Twenty Twenty-One theme is enabled. I did not include the url here as the site is not public, but I can share further details via email if you provide instructions on the best way to continue this discussion privately. Thank you!

  • Hi @michaelsandmichaels,

    Thank you for reaching out!
I just tried this on my end and the Strong Testimonials widget works both in Astra Pro and in a default WordPress theme.
Is it possible to send me a screenshot to see how you added the widget?
Also please go to Testimonials > Views> and send me a screenshot with your View’s settings.
You can send the screenshots using this form here or directly at the email address mentioned on that page.

    Warmly,
    Mihaela

Thanks for following up, Mihaela! I just emailed you the screenshot and more details 🙂

UPDATE: The email bounced back 🙁 I just submitted a request through your Contact form but don’t see a way to upload files there.

I did not receive any 🙁
Can you please try this email instead: [email protected] ?

    Thank you,
    Mihaela

I tried the other email you suggested and got another bounceback 🙁 Maybe it doesn’t like my sending attachments?

Mihaela, I tried resending my email and screenshots from a different email/server, so fingers crossed it’ll reach you this time.

    Hi again!

I will reply here as well in case it will help other users as well.
I investigated and I can see that you add a CSS code, this one:
    .wpmslider-viewport { height: 100% !important; }
Can you please remove it? It should fix the issue.
    Thank you!

    Warmly,
    Mihaela

    Mihaela,

I just responded via email, but for any others who may be experiencing this, I wanted to post it here, too:

That was a good guess, but Astra’s tech support added that *after* the Testimonials slider broke to fix a different issue that was introduced after I updated the Astra Pro plugin and theme 🙁 I just removed that code as a test, and unfortunately, it didn’t fix the missing Testimonials and reintroduced the bug it had been added to fix 😉
