I need some help with alignment before I commit to upgrading to the PRO version, please.
As you can see in the link in the first line of photos, the text is always directly below the photo.
However, I need the text to be at the bottom of the container so that under all photos the last line of text is at the same height.
I tried messing around with adding tables to the media files description and adding css code into the custom css box in the FooGallery setting, but I just can’t achieve what I need. In fact I did not manage to change anything, other than the text being all centered (as you can see in line 2). And this was achieved by adding table html code into the media file description, however this should still be left aligned, I have no idea why it is centered…. so I really don’t know what I’m doing here and help is much appreciated.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @spagel

Sorry for the delayed response as we looked into this.

To your question on how to make the captions to be aligned and be of the same height for each row of images in your Simple Portfolio gallery, it is going to be incredibly difficult to do so at this moment in time simply because the thumbnails are not of the same size.

If the thumbnails displayed were of the same size or very close in size, the captions would be aligned automatically actually.

As a workaround to this, what you can do is crop/resize the images to ensure that the height and width are similar/almost similar to make the captions align as you want them to.

Another great option that would not require you to crop/resize the images would be to switch to the Masonry Gallery template. On the Masonry template, the captions are shown below and will always align.

Hope this clarifies your question. If you have any other questions that you need to be resolved as you consider upgrading to a PRO version, don’t hesitate to ask.

    Kind regards,
    Elvis.

    Hi @elviiso,

I totally understand, but it is vital that the page shows the photos in the original aspect ratio. Using square thumbnails would indeed solve the problem, but the viewer does not understand that the piece of art is indeed not square but portrait or landscape.
Therefor I must use the original aspect ratio thumbnails.
Is there a way to activate a container inside the existing container or add a new container below the container where the thumbnail is shown?
I really do want to buy the pro version, especially for a better light box experience, but if I can’t achieve what I need with foogallery I will have to make the page by hand… the page I am working on belongs to my wife, who is an international artist, and she is very clear about how the page must look like.
You can see what I did here (which is the actual live version of her presentation): https://www.sabine-endres.de/art/
But she is not happy about it… please help me so I don’t have to sit and make adjustments every week by hand…
    Thank you so much.

    hi @spagel

I think this will solve your problem of the aspect ratio : https://fooplugins.com/foogallery-wordpress-gallery-plugin/background-fill/
