I noticed there was a recent bug report that sounds similar, and it was fixed about 2 weeks ago (about the same time you wrote in) and I believe the fix, if it’s the same issue, would have been included in the Gutenberg 3.2 release.
See https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/7680
Would it be possible for you to test with Gutenberg 3.2 to see if the problem is still happening with that version?
Note: the 7680 issue was for cases where there are a lot of blocks in a given post (e.g. 50+). Out of curiosity, can you check to see how many blocks are present in a typical post of yours? You can see the number of blocks under the info icon at the top: https://cloudup.com/cZJfA7_hRGH
And if you have a moment to document your browser version and OS, that information often proves useful when researching or reviewing these issues! I test most often with Firefox 61.0.1 on macOS 10.13.5 but I also have other major browsers that I use often and some Windows VMs setup for testing.
Thanks for the response. I’m afraid I cannot test as I’ve rebuilt the site as there were some other issues. Fairly certain there were more than 50 blocks, since I was working on a lengthy article with a plan to split it up once completed. That appears to have been a mistake, but I’ll try again later.
All of this was on a Mac running Chrome version 67.0.3396.99 (Official Build) (64-bit), if that helps. When I finish setting up the new install, I will try Gutenberg and see how it makes a difference.
Thanks again
