• hi, wanted to ask if there is a possibility to display text (f.e. the first paragraph of a page) below the page title. would be nice to see that, therefore the page title of a page seems somehow lost on the left side of the screen.

  • Hi, are you wanting some text to display before the featured image for the post on the homepage of the site or something else?

no i mean the page site: for example: https://www.eightmeasures.com/interviews/ would be nice to add the first paragraph below the page title (on the left side)…

Hi, I see what you’re referring to now. To get it working correctly you’d have to modify the theme files to get some section of text to show up there maybe as the excerpt or similar.

The other option would be to use some CSS to make the page full width so that the title of the page is placed above the main page content and then the content shows up beneath it. It would get rid of the blank section on the left hand side below the page title. Is that something you’d like to try? If so, I can see if I can work up some CSS to get that effect.

thanks, but i have a plugin to do that…

Hi again, not quite sure what you meant by your last response regarding a plugin. Were you able to find a plugin that will do what you’d like or did you still need further guidance?

no not done, to get some text below the page title would still be nice… but i have plugin to make the page full width so don’t need css help there.

Hi, I need assistance with the exact opposite. I want the paragraph below the titles to be removed, but it does not show on the back-end that there is text below the title. When I click on the pages on my website, that is when I see it. Please help!

Below are the two pages where it shows paragraphs below the titles and I do not want that:

@cantropo took a look into this further, it isn’t something that could be easily done without modifying the theme files unfortunately.

Pages in WordPress don’t support excerpts by default like posts do so you’d have to add in that functionality for pages, then add the code into the theme file to display the custom excerpt and then some CSS for styling.

@dessie1994 you are using the Astra theme on your site right now, this sub-forum is for assistance with the TwentySeventeen theme. You’ll want to post your question in the Astra support forum here:
