Text editor issues

    Just noticed that the Horizontal Rule element is missing from the text editor kitchen sink. Also I’m using font awesome and only the short code works in the text editor if I add icons with the <i> method it is deleted when I switch from HTML to Visual and then back again.

    And after inserting images it looks like and empty <p></p> gets inserted afterwards for no reason and there is no way to delete it.

    I don’t think a horizontal rule is part of WordPress by default. Were you perhaps using an editor plugin previously?

    I could have sworn that their use to be a Rule Line button as part of the kitchen sink. Very weird. But I’m also getting issues with wordpress injecting <p> around everything. The tags don’t show up in the HTML editor but when I publish the page they are there. 3.5.1 acts a little weird.

    WordPress has always added <p></p> tags around text that isn’t enclosed in another block level tag.

    Ok good to know. At least I’m not going crazy anymore.
