    To better understand the issue, could you please check a couple of things:

    • If you click Run now, does the backup run manually?
    • If yes, does the backup complete correctly, or do you see any errors in the backup log?

    Please also share your debug information (after hiding any sensitive information), so I can take a closer look:

    Hi @elsoar,

    Thank you for your reply.

    It looks like the server is blocking self-connect requests due to 403 error. This needs to be handled on the hosting side, as the server must be configured to allow WordPress to make internal requests to itself. Once that is fixed, BackWPUp should work normally as well.

    To verify this, you can also check Tools > Site Health in your WordPress dashboard. If you see an error related to loopback or self-connect requests, like the one shown here:

    you can share that information with your hosting provider. After they resolve it and the warning disappears from Site Health, BackWPUp should start working as expected.

    Thank you for the follow-up. I assume the previous issue is now resolved.

    Regarding the latest issue, as a troubleshooting step, could you please try creating a simple Database-only backup job and see how it behaves when triggered via link?

    Also, are you seeing any specific errors in the debug log? If possible, please share the ‘debug’ log again after hiding sensitive information so I can take another look.

    It is quite strange that the files backup is not working in this case.

    Could you please check whether the same issue also happens when running a manual backup from the plugin? Or does it only happen when the job is triggered via the link?

    I doubt this could be because of a loopback error as discussed earlier in this thread. Can you confirm if that is fixed?

    Also, did you try reaching out to the support via the UI plugin option to be able to investigate this closely?
