• Hi! Thanks for Matomo!

I already have Matomo set up on it’s own domain and server.
I have also already purchased the woocommerce matomo plugin.

    This works like a charm!

But would I benefit from installing this plugin on top in any way?
Or could I risk that the site speed will decrease vs. only the tracker code I’ve installed manually? Or shouldn’t that be any different?

Would I be able to see username / display names inside the Matomo installation if I install this plugin?

If you could say anything about this, I would appreciate it very much 🙂

Following the WooCommerce Matomo plugin’s description, it should be fully compatible with WP-Matomo.

WP-Matomo is intended to give you a brief overview of your statistics within your WordPress dashboard, integrating the tracking code is some kind of an extra feature. And yes, you can enable tracking of WordPress users with this plugin, if you like to do so.

May I jump in and ask the question from a different perspective?
Is this plugin ever needed? I mean, if I view my stats from within OnPremise, is this plugin just a mirror of those stats or is it needed in order for OnPremise to work?
