• This Plugin in my opinion is not written right , there a simpler SEO plugins out there that also do not add so much messages on the dashboard.

I could give 3 stars as it works , so technicaly it does what it says.

But i dont like this company at all , they really care only for money and actually the make you huge issues with your site and they dont care.

Many users have asked you a simple way for a ” Leave no trace ” after unistalling the plugin, and the response of Yoast ( WordPress Core Contributors ) is :

” Thats why you should always first install in staging first and test ” …

Of course this is a true message , but is not right for the purpose of WordPress, that is Free open source for Newbies and Proffesionals and people that they dont know how to create a staging site.

That beeing said , you see the real face of this comedy company.

  • Hi @mrbassist,

    Thanks for your review.

We are sorry to hear that there’re several reasons why you don’t like Yoast.

First of all, let us clarify that the plugin displays a limited set of notifications in the WordPress dashboard. The aim of these notifications is to help you identify issues affecting your website’s SEO and maintenance. For example, we warn you when you’re blocking search engines from indexing your website. These types of notifications shouldn’t prevent you from using the plugin normally and, in most cases, you can close them by just clicking the X icon in the upper right-hand corner.

Regarding the plugin data left in the database after uninstalling the plugin, we do this to preserve your SEO data and plugin settings in case you decide to install and activate the plugin at a later time. If a user accidentally uninstalls the plugin and we throw away a site’s SEO data without the user realizing it, the problem is way bigger than if we do not delete the data the user intentionally added before. So, we choose to error on the side of caution here.

That said, we see that there can be users who may want to delete the plugin permanently and don’t want to mess up with deleting data directly from the database. As this is a valid use case, we’ve created a feature request in our plugin repository to add an option to easily delete the plugin data from the database. Our developers will consider the request when planning updates.

Lastly, let us disagree with your comment “they really care only for money”. As a company, we, of course, need to care about money to be able to pay our employees and continue developing and maintaining our products. As you can see in our core values, making money has never been our first priority. As you probably know, we offer the best SEO plugin in the market for free besides tons of great articles, seminars, courses, and tutorials that help people learn about SEO and improve their websites. SEO for everyone is our mission!

@monbauza Yes i see the Value of this plugin with the latest Error of Yoast ,

Yoast is very special on destroying websites and SEO.

Good luck to all that people that still are using this useless plugin

    Hi @funkycss,

Thanks for your comment. We know how upsetting it is when a plugin causes an error on your website. We apologize for the trouble this has caused you. Is the error reported here the one you’re referring to? If it is, the relevant bug will be fixed in Yoast SEO v16.0.

If you’re experiencing a different error, we’d appreciate it if you could create a new topic in the plugin forum. Our support team will look into the issue and assist you further.

    Thanks!
