• Hello,

I am trying to add the comment option for people to comment on some of my webpages, but I can’t figure out how.

Here is what I did so far:

    Dashboard/Divi/Layout Settings(on the new panel opening)/Single Page Layout(Tab)/Enable

    AND

I went to the webpage I want to add comments on, click “Edit,” then, on the upper right hand corner click on SCREEN OPTIONS and mark the box “Discussion” and then I scroll down and cross “Allow Comments.”

No comments box option is displaying

I don’t know anything about coding or how to insert a code, or anything about what theme I am using, or child theme. If your reply requires any of those information can you walk me through on how to find them and how to add coding, please?
To direct me, if you can write the pathway from the Dashboard on, it would be great.

    My website: http://newtranspersonalpsychotherapy.com/

    Thank you!

    UPDATE

I just noticed that comments are showing on my blog but not on the page that I want comment to appear on, namely this page: http://newtranspersonalpsychotherapy.com/the-triple-transformation/

Can you tell me why comments are showing on the blog page but not on any other pages and what should I do?

    Thanks!

Well, now the comment section has disappeared from the blog page when I deleted the latin text that the blog page came in with.

    Help please

I’m sorry I can’t help you, igorgi, but I’m getting in this thread because I’m having the same problem.
I just launched my blog, RepottingHacks.com and I would like to have comments as an option, I’ve enabled them in the dashboard area, but the comment box isn’t showing up.
    Can anyone help? Thanks!

I just found an answer that worked for me in another thread:

    and for each individual post:
    – dashboard – posts – all posts – click quickedit below the post titles – tick ‘allow comments’

Doing this ^^ fixed it for me!

    Thank you RepottingHacks,

I checked that out and the “allow comments” box is ticked.

So nothing has changed for me, still having no comments appearing.

But I am happy for you! 😉

    UPDATE

Ok, so I went within the post itself (not just the blog window) but on the window where I can modify the post, and did on the upper right hand corner click on SCREEN OPTIONS and mark the box “Discussion” and then I scroll down and cross “Allow Comments.”

For some strange reason, these boxes were not ticked. I donno y?

Anyway, I am happy a got that fixed; however, my original intention was to add comments to a PAGE not a BLOG post, specifically to this page.

    Can someone help?

    UPDATE

If I create a new page from scratch and don’t try to make comments appear on pages already built, I can make comments appear on the new page. However, only if I use “The Default Editor” and not the “Divi Builder.”

When I use “The Default Editor” and publish the page, the published page has the Blog sidebar; whereas, when I use the “Divi Builder” the sidebar disappears and with that also the comments box at the bottom disappear.

Is there a way to use the “Divi Builder,” have no Blog side bar, and have comments at the bottom of the page?

    Thanks!

    UPDATE

Ok, on the edit page, I went on “Divi Page Settings” and clicked “full width” and the “The Default Editor” published page deleted the side bar and now I have the comment box at the end of the page. Great!

All I need not is to be able to use the Divi builder with comments. Is this a possible option? I would think so, right? Is so how, since when I use the Divi builder the comment box at the end of the page disappear? (Maybe I’ll right a new post on the wordpress support page as the subject has changed a bit here, but you can answer here to if you like

    Thanks
