    After update to WP 5.6:
In the back end of the page, the fields look without content. Field type Classic Editor (WYSIWYG) look inactive. After toggle “Code-Editor – Visual Editor”
    everything looks right again.

Is it associated with jQuery version?

  • I also have the same issue. My local was on an older version, and my hosted got updated to 5.6. Local was fine, hosted has this problem. After updating local to 5.6 to replicate, the issue started on 5.6 local too.

Have uninstalled all plugins except Lazy Blocks and it still happens.

When using the ‘Classic Editor’ component, you are able to add the component to the screen and add content, but after reloading the page, it is not possible to place cursor inside the Classic Editor input, and no content displays in the Classic Editor Input.

Additionally, any post (these are custom posts, not sure if that’s relevant) that has a classic editor, after page refresh, cannot be saved.

Work around for editing the classic editor content is to toggle to Code Editor, then back to Visual Editor.

Work around for not being able to save, is to ‘switch to draft’ and then publish.
