    Even though EWWW in portuguese sounds like something disgusting, the plugin is great!
    I’ve tried many plugins before for that purpose, trying to circumvent costs as much as possible but always ended up with messed up media libraries, messed image names, nothing really optimized and many more problems.
    This plugin became my go to plugin for image optimization tasks.

    Indeed, that’s the “side joke” of the EWWW name: that un-optimized images are gross, disgusting, and repulsive to your visitors 🙂
