Hello. I changed the active format from .Tar to zip and the maximum number of attempts from 3 to 1, then saved it.

All the logs up to that point have disappeared and it says there are no logs.

What should I do about this?

    Is this by design?

    Hi,

The logs disappearing after changing settings is not expected behavior. Your past logs should still be available. Could you try the following steps?

    1. Refresh the Logs Page – Sometimes, a simple refresh can help repopulate missing logs.
    2. Check the Logs Directory – Navigate to your WordPress installation and look in the /wp-content/uploads/backwpup-logs/ folder to see if the logs are still there.
    3. Try Reinstalling – If the issue persists, reinstalling BackWPUp (without deleting the plugin) might help.

If you’re still experiencing this issue, please reach out to us directly so we can investigate further.

    Best regards,
    The BackWPUp Team

    Dear BWU Support

    Thank you for your reply.
I used Google Translate to translate this, so I’m not sure if the correct meaning is being conveyed, but please understand.

I checked the server’s file manager,
and the new logs backed up after 3/10, when the logs disappeared, were in

    XXXXX (file name)

    backups
    logs ← here.
    temps

The logs from 3/3 to 3/10 that disappeared

were in a different file called backwpup-XXXXX-logs.

I’m afraid of reinstalling and having problems, so I’ll keep using it as it is. (It doesn’t really matter if the old logs are not there)
