The Newswire Theme

    I have looked on the forum and have not found the answer to this. I have installed The Newsroom and am trying to create a news – blog site: http://ticket-news.ecitytickets.com. i have built several sites using dreamweaver and know a little about php and html. However i am new to wordpress. I watched the newsroom theme video at http://wpdevshed.com/themes/the-newswire/#comment-101484. and in that video it showed how to create a header banner (not logo) 468 x 60 from the customize drop down and choosing Banner Codes. The video also showed a way to create an image banner on the right side area from that same customize drop down menu. I do not have these options on my theme. i just downloaded it 3 days ago so i am sure it would be the newest version. Please tell me how i can get these options in my theme. Or maybe a link to where i can download another version. Most of the comments on the video were from 2013 so maybe you have done away with these features on this theme. The video had 788 comments and i looked at most of them and never found anyone saying these options were not available for them. Please help. Thanks, Bob.

    Hi @bobbkc11, sorry for the slow response. That video is indeed out of date now. We removed the options described in the video for security reasons. But have commented the header and sidebar template files to indicate where to place your banner code. Of course before adding code to the template files you should set up your theme as a child first. Thanks.
