Hello Carsten,
The Profile Builder registration form does not replace the default WordPress form, but that can be disabled entirely from Dashboard -> Settings -> General -> Membership -> Anyone can register. Profile Builder bypasses that setting, so if you disable it, the default WordPress registration will be gone.
The free version of Profile Builder does not include BuddyPress integration, and we are not allowed to speak here about the paid version.
The plugin does not check for available usernames before the rest of the fields are field out in the registration.
And about x-profiles, I don’t know very much. Please share more details. Profile Builder does support any kind of custom user meta, since it uses the default WordPress user meta mechanism.
With the best of wishes,
Gabriel
I can’t make it work, disabling registration does not help. I can se a Profile Builder registration page is created, but no registration page comes up, if registration is deactivated, so I can’t bypass or leave out the ‘anyone can register’ option.
How do I link to the Profile Builder registration page to make it work?
Regards
Carsten
Hello Carsten,
Please activate the plugin and create a page with the [wppb-register] shortcode.
Then provide the link of the page so that I may take a look.
Thanks,
Gabriel
Having the same issue of seeing the WP login when I access Login from a menu item. The menu item is set to take me to a login page that has the [wppb-register] shortcode. If I view this page incognito, I see the wppb login page. Doesn’t matter if ‘Anyone can register’ is checked or not. Help please!
Hello there,
Please provide the address of the page where you are experiencing this problem.
Do you have a page with the [wppb-register] shortcode and it’s not showing?
With the best of wishes,
Gabriel
