    Hello,

Last December, I created a domain to which I moved data from another site. Automatic updates work on the original site, but not on the new one. (There are pending updates even a week old)

I haven’t had a problem with the plugin in the past, so I have no idea where the error occurred.

    Please help

    Thank you

  • Hi @michalrama,

Could you please use the WordPress site health tool (wp-admin/site-health.php) to see if there’s an issue relating to background/auto updates and scheduled events?. Please look for the below items under the Passed test section of the site health status

    Scheduled events are running

Plugin and theme auto-updates appear to be configured correctly

    Background updates are working

    Can communicate with ww.wp.xz.cn

Do they appear in the list of the Passed test?

    Hello @anthoniusalfred

Could you please use the WordPress site health tool (wp-admin/site-health.php) to see if there’s an issue relating to background/auto updates and scheduled events?. Please look for the below items under the Passed test section of the site health status

The recommended improvements are “A scheduled event has failed” and “Your site could not complete a loopback request”. In addition, as I now find out, the second site, which I also moved from one web host to another, has the same errors.

On the second web host, which I use purely for testing or backups, wordpress worked properly. The problem is obviously the difference between the two web hosts. (Active24->Webzdarma)

But I really have no idea what the problem is.

    Hi @michalrama

What do you see when the Your site could not complete a loopback request is expanded, you can click the arrow down icon, there will be information regarding HTTP status code that is returned during a loopback request. What unexpected HTTP status code do you get?. Basically, automatic updates requires a good performance of a loopback request, which means in a normal condition it will always return 200 HTTP status code (the expected one). This loopback request responsible for any scheduled events that get triggered during the request, so if you get other HTTP status codes rather than 200 that means none of scheduled events has been triggered. If one of your plugins currently has an available update, you can try to do Force Updates from within the EUM plugin, you can find the tool under the Advanced tab.

    Thanks,
    Anthon

    Hello,

So now I’m really confused. An update took place on the first wordpresseshop.webzdarma.cz website, but according to the logs, it happened today.

And on the other site (link the page i needed help) it still doesn’t work. I tried to choose force update. It has been initialized but has not yet been executed.

A detailed description of the error is

Loopback requests are used to run scheduled events, and are also used by the built-in editors for themes and plugins to verify code stability.

The loopback request returned an unexpected http status code, 429, it was not possible to determine if this will prevent features from working as expected.

And both sites keep reporting it. Despite the fact that the first website was updated today.
