    Hi there.

I just downloaded a fresh copy of your plugin.

Once activated I tried to go to any of the appeared tabs: Setup, Basic options, Advanced options, Stats and info

And it gave me server error 500.

Tried reinstalling the plugin from WP admin and from the FTP server side.

    Same error message.

Any suggestions on how to tackle this ?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

Thank you for trying the plugin and reporting this issue.

I’m looking into it right now and wondered if you know how to access your servers log file where we might find a notice specific to the fault?

I know what the problem is. Files missing from the repository on here.

I’m about to upload them and increase the version to trigger updating in the normal way.

Your report on this is appreciated.

Hey – its great that you found out the issue so fast.

So what would be next steps from the consumer side?

Download fresh copy or update the plugin from the admin page?

    Thanks!

    Hello

No problem sorry for the inconvenience in the first place. It happened after a big update.

Your WordPress admin should indicate that the plugin now needs to be updated. Updating it from the plugins list will fix it as it will add the missing files.

Deleting the plugin and uploading a freshly downloaded copy via FTP will also work fine.

    Regards
    Ryan

    Works as a blessing!

    Great work and fast resolution!

So the tool works now which is realy awesome.

But I found that one of the buttons inside still give the same error 500.

    Setup > 4:import Data > submit

Once submit is pushed you get this error message.

Might it be related to some missing files?

    Thanks!

I’ll need to test every feature.

The plugins menu and layout was changed. It required renaming files and it may be that the names of the old files exist in code somewhere.

Shouldn’t take long and I will release another update.

Version 8.2.8 is uploading right now with a fix.

    Update installed successfully.

Unfortunately though the same error appears on several areas including the mentioned above.

Sorry for bugging you so much. But i am really excited to use this plugin for my project.

    Basic options > Custom fields

After the custom field added you cannot delete it. Once pressing the delete button second time it states that it is deleted but it is still on the list.

Trying to add the same custom field gets you a screen asking “are you sure?” without any way to accept or decline this.

Your not bugging me. I rarely get the chance to use this plugin and testing it is a massive job in itself.

I’ll have another update soon. Thank you for your time.

Released update fixing custom field delete issue. Cannot see any others.

Best thing to do is paste the URL your on when the error occurs and I’ll know where to look.

I know that would be the most self explaining way.

The trouble is that we are running local server. You wont be able to use the link.

    (@olv1do)

    Few more things.

I’ll add the link that goes after the your-site/wp-admin this should be the same for all the WP users if they have the same plugin installed

    1.
    link – /wp-admin/admin.php?page=csv2post_customfields&csv2postaction=deletecustomfieldrule&cfid=2&_wpnonce=2e96e26ed8

Adding new Custom field and submitting it brings “Are you sure you want to do thi?” without any option to say “yes” or “no” or to go back.

    2.
    link – /wp-admin/admin.php?page=csv2post_setupcsv

Once you have created new project and press to IMPORT DATA it gives error 500

    Same error for UPDATE DATA

    /wp-admin/admin.php?page=csv2post_setupcsv&csv2postaction=importdatacurrentproject&_wpnonce=2a80c86f42

same happens if you press submit here: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=csv2post_setupimport

    3.
    link – /wp-admin/admin.php?page=csv2post_advanceddata

Test Automated Data Import gives error 500 once SUBMIT is pressed

    4.
    link – /wp-admin/admin.php?page=csv2post_advancedreplacevaluerules

No way to delete the created value replace rules

    5.
    link – /wp-admin/admin.php?page=csv2post_advancedposttypes

Plugin is not saving the custom post type selected even though states that it is saved on the top

    Well thank you again.

I’ve just released an update. It includes a fix for a problem not listed above. It fixes the ability to display any of the plugins postboxes (forms) on the WP Dashboard.

All of these improvements are copied into my premium import, not yet released but you have helped me speed that release up. So you are entitled to a copy of that premium plugin in the future…

    I.O.U – WordPress Data Importer plugin 🙂
