    I turned off horizontal scrolling. The problem went away. Hopefully it has been in this)))

    Hi,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    Yes, this is likely caused by the Horizontal scrolling. It requires the calculation of column widths, which it can not do when the table is initially hidden in a tab.

    You could however try the scroll mode of the TablePress Extension from tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/ as an alternative. It uses a different technical mechanism and works better here.
