The redirect function – how do I apply it for functions.php?

    Hi, I’m having an issue with page redirect for hierarchical URL – in that if I have a setup like “term/childterm/custompost” the term and childterm are completley irrelevant – I can type any term and childterm for the URL and it comes up with the custom post instead of a 404

    This plugin, when I set a custom URL – it ALWAYS redirects to this custom URL! This is exactly what I want for the whole of my site!

    But I want it to redirect in the same way to the default, standard URL – for all posts and taxonomy terms etc. how do i do this.

    If there was a simple way of being able to take the redirect code in this plugin and use it as a function in my theme’s functions.php that’d be great… or mabe another plugin.
