    Hello,

Is there a way to remove the shortcode generator from the Editor, while still leaving the widget? I am trying to use a TinyMCE editor on the front of my website, and the shortcode generator is appearing, which doesn’t make sense to my users. But if I completely turn off the plugin, then that breaks the widgets on the side of my page.

    Thank you!

The shortcode generator only shows widgets inside the “Widget Shortcode” area but the plugin works with widgets from any widget area, so an easy way around this is to move the widgets to another area. When “Widget Shortcode” widget area is empty, the shortcode generator doesn’t show, but all your shortcodes and widgets will continue to work as before.

Thank you for the quick reply. I’m not sure what you mean by move the widgets to another area. If I delete them from the widget, then the shortcodes stop working. If I leave them in the widget, then the shortcode generator also shows in TinyMCE. Neither is the desired outcome. What am I missing?

No not removing them, but moving them to another area. If you go to Appearance > Widgets, you should see several widget areas (this depends on your theme), you can move the widgets from “Widget Shortcode” area to any of those and the shortcode will work just as before.
