The template doesn’t display

I’ve activated the plugin, created a template and assigned it. However, I don’t see the template display in the admin, even when turning on the “Welcome” checkbox. There is a small blank area that shows, but that’s it.

When I inspect the page here’s what I see:

There doesn’t seem to be any code in there from the template to display. I am using WP Multisite so I’m not sure if that could be impacting things.
