    I can’t figure out why I can’t upload and install my own theme.

    I continue to get the following error:

    Installing Theme from uploaded file: test.zip
    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

    The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the index.php file.

    Theme install failed.

    What theme? Does it have an index.php file?

    I found the answer.. as it turns out my files were not named correctly.. they were being saved as: index.php.txt

    I fixed it from the back end.
