Hi steve92,
thanks for reaching out.
I removed the translation files on purpose. The translation system of ww.wp.xz.cn should take care of them automatically.
I just verified this on a new test site. To load the translations if WordPress is not doing this automatically, go to Dashboard > Updates, then scroll down to “Translations” and update them.
Thomas
Without this code your plugin translations will not update
load_plugin_textdomain('q2w3-fixed-widget', false, dirname(plugin_basename(__FILE__ )));
Which language are you trying to download?
Thanks
Italian
Without the code it does not translate.

Thanks.
I just went to General > Settings and switched my site to Italian.
Then I went to Dashboard > Updates (Bacheca > Aggiornamenti), scrolled down and found the update button for the translations.
Clicking the button downloaded all translations, though Italian was missing. Then I looked at the translation page and found that there is indeed no Italian translation available.
So if you want to have Italian delivered with the plugin, you can add your translations under Italian on the linked page. That would help other Italians, too.
Thanks,
Thomas
I don’t know how to add translations. If you give me your email I will send you the files of the translations I have done.
Hi @steve92,
I see that you already suggested the Italian translations here.
Each language is maintained by a group of native speakers in the community. They are also mentioned on the linked page. If you know someone, you could ask them to verify the translations you added.
Thanks,
Thomas
I entered the yellow translations, the green ones were already there. Why don’t mine turn green?

You need someone to approve the translations. When you click on the green ones, you see at the right, who approved them.
You can read here on how to do that. It basically needs someone to verify your translation, so it can’t be me, since I am not speaking Italian.
I can ask the Polyglots team to add you as a Translation Editor for Fixed Widget if someone else approves a few translations first so that I know that your translations match the requirements.
Thanks,
Thomas
In the new version of the plugin you can insert a language folder with the .mo .po files in Italian that I have translated.
Official translators have many plugins to translate and it can take years.

Italian translations have been approved.
That’s great!
Thanks for taking care of this!
