• I installed the Duplicate Post plugin to fill the need of creating Posts of many different recorded classes and sermons that share the same layout.

I ran into problems when I cloned my first Post.

When I updated the Post Title and Slug, and made the necessary content changes, I then went to save (Publish) the Post.

The Post would not update. I tried several times, and then decided to log out of my WordPress admin and try to log back in. When I tried to log back in, the log in page redirected me to a HTTP 400 error.

This all happened in IE11. I called my hosting service and they said there was a known conflict with this plugin and IE. My hosting service said the problem was centered around the updating of the Post slug. Unfortunately, I can not find any information on this.

I can successfully log in using Firefox, or IE on another computer. So what ever has happened is localized to one computer on IE. At the suggestion of my hosting service, I tried uninstalling IE11, which is the version I had. With IE, you can not actually uninstall, as it is a part of Windows. So the best I could do was revert back to IE10. I cleared my cache just in case that would help.

I then updated IE back to version 11. All that being done, I still can not log in to my admin on this website, on this computer using IE.

My hosting service searched for answers, but could not find any. I am in great need for help on this issue.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have found that this problem rears its’ ugly head in Firefox as well. Apparently, the Duplicate Post plugin somehow corrupts one of more of the cookies on the website I am working on, causing the login for my admin link to no longer work.

In IE, I have to reset my IE settings to correct the situation. In Firefox, I only have to delete all the cookies related to the website I am working on. (Surprisingly, just working on the admin side of the website utilizes more than a dozen cookies.)

This plugin serves a great purpose when needed to duplicate post formats to have the same layout on different posts. I am saddened that it apparently has this conflict where, from time to time, it corrupts the website cookies.

It would be great to find a solution for this plugin or even another plugin that has the versatility of options that this plugin has.

    So far, no luck.

If anyone can offer a suggestion, I would love to hear it.
