The word 'select' causes 404 error

    This is a weird issue that I have been having recently. I kept trying to save text that was copied from notepad in the editor and the page would crash. So I only added a paragraph at a time and was able to isolate a single word that is causing this crash: select.

    I tried using HTML character codes for the letters, still crashed. I tried disabling all plugins, checked to make sure there weren’t any spaces or lines in my javascript files, validated my CSS and HTML code, tried using a different editor, nothing worked. That word alone makes the page crash.

    Anyone else having this weird issue?

    It is usually caused by the server. Certain words, combinations of words, etc. get rejected. Have you told your host about it?

    I was thinking that could be the culprit but wanted to make sure it wasn’t a user error or a known wordpress bug before I call my host about it. 😉 I will try that out. Thanks!
