• hello,
i am a beginner on wordpress and i already get in trouble with a theme i can’t activate and doesn’t allow me to reach my website anymore .
So i am using 000webhost , the free server to start , everything was fine until i choose to install “real places” theme ! i send it to the server through FTP wp-content/themes/….. ! well then i click activate the theme and it goes :
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/a8230758/public_html/wp-content/themes/themeforest-12579089-real-places-responsive-wordpress-real-estate-theme-wordpress-theme(1)/inspiry-real-places/inc/ReduxFramework/inspiry-redux.php on line 5

I really wonder what did i do wrong , so i retried several times and impossible to fix it i even download again the theme .
i really need a hand for this as i don’t know anything and can’t go further on !
    thank

Access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and you’ll be able to access your site again.

As for what went wrong with the theme, since that is a commercial theme, we ask that you please go to their official support channel, so you can get support from the people who know it best.

Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why it is not working properly. Other community members who may have faced your issue might be able to help you but your best bet is your product’s developer. Keep in mind we encourage you to use the official support venues, as it allows the developers to be aware of issues with their code and gives back to the community in a more robust way.
