@jfs1969 Can you please provide us with more information on the issue you are having with the theme? Are you unable to access certain Yoast SEO features with theme active, or are you encountering an error or warning?
Also, can you please confirm you are using the most recent Yoast v7.8 and WordPress 4.9.7? You can learn more about updating here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/. To check your WordPress version you can do so by clicking on the W in the top left of your wp-admin area and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/
If you update to the most current version of WordPress and Yoast SEO, does this resolve the issue?
@devnihil I confirm you i’m using wordpress 4.9.7 and Yoast v 7.8
When i activate the plugin, it deletes all the theme configuration (every single configuration, logo, images, custom css, footer, etc).
I try to restore that configuration by importing it from backup and it doesn’t work. Nothing happens. If I deactivate Yoast, then i can restore the configuration and the import works as it should.
The theme (monolit by CTH themes) uses Redux Framework to manage the theme options. I don’t know if it could be the origin of the problem.
Have you contacted the developers of the theme too? We ask as Yoast SEO is a free plugin, meaning they could try to replicate this issue.
Unfortunately, we do not have access to the Monolit theme, thus we can’t yet confirm if there are any incompatibility issues between Yoast SEO and this theme. We are not aware of any issues with the Redux Framework.
