Theme changes automatically
-
Hi!
I have a problem where the theme constantly changes by itself from time to time. I have started using a plugin called “Theme Switcha” to change themes, since I, for some reason, can’t change theme the “normal” way. The website had a custom theme before, coded by someone many years ago. When I now want to change the theme to “Kadence”, since I have it on my offline version of the site, it’s impossible to do so. I have tried changing the name of the old theme to “Kadence”, I’ve tried to remove all other themes, but I can’t even change the theme to “twentytwenty”, because the old custom theme is somehow hardcoded(?) into the website. With that said, when I do change the theme with the help of the plugin “Theme switcha”, it automatically changes back every hour or so to the old custom theme.
I can also say that I’ve tried with different browsers, and I have also cleared my cache, cookies etc. several times, without any results. Could someone please tell me how I could solve this problem? Perhaps there’s a code I could insert, maybe there’s a way to “force” a theme. Maybe there’s a way to find and remove the code(?) that’s coded into the website, that tells the site to use a specific theme.
Edit: I forgot to add that I’ve also tried to manually change theme in phpMyAdmin by editing “template” and “stylesheet”, with no success.
Thanks in advance!
