Theme customization lost when Category URLs->Removed

    I’m using Yoast seo free Version 9.2.1 version.

    My url structure is mysite/category/cats/toys
    I want my url structure to be mysite/cats/toys by removing /category/

    So I changed “Category URLs”->Remove under Taxonomies in Yoast.

    Then my url structure changed as I wanted but my theme customization for pages lost to default theme settings.

    Appreciate any feedback on this…

    Can you please let us know what settings you lost in regards to the theme customization and what theme you are using? Do you experience the same issue when using a default theme such as twenty seventeen?
