• Hello lovely members,

I hope someone here will be able to let me know what should I do, as I am so devastated!
I installed a theme called ” Shapley” developed by Colorlib
    https://colorlib.com/wp/themes/shapely/
and I tried to update my plugins but my website did not come up, I went to my Cpanel and fixed that problem, but since then my home page changed to a coming soon/subscription registration” style page designed by Colorlib.
I tried everything since two days ago!! I even deleted all the content and plugins and themes AND EVEN ended up installing WP again, but my home page does not change!!
I greatly appreciate if you could please let me know what should I do to get rid of it.
I leave a link to my website.

  • There’s probably a ‘maintenance mode’ file in your site causing this. You can read more about maintenance mode and disabling a stuck maintenance screen here…

If you can’t find it or there’s more to this than just that simple solution then you’ll need to contact ColorLib for help.

Thanks for replying @jnashhawkins. you are right it looks like a maintenance page! I went to my file manager and even activated my hidden files but do not have any maintenance file!!
I installed the ” Shapley” theme again (hoped it might help) but still have that problem!

well, looking at your page tells me that Colorlib is running the show there so kill that theme and bring that site backup under a default theme like Twenty Nineteen or Twenty Seventeen.

You might also look through your plugins for a plugin that came in with your theme or a ‘must use’ plugin. Easiest way is to rename the plugins directory temporarily with 1234 which should kill the path to the ancillary directories under plugins.

I have done it, but tried it again now.
I deleted all my themes (and only kept a default theme) and even deleted all of my plugins!!! it is still there!
I managed to post in their forum now AGAIN but they did not provide help before!!
