[Theme: Easel] CSS and custom-menu

    I love this theme, but am having a few issues getting it set up the way I’d like.

    I don’t want the default top menu so I switched it off. Instead I’m trying to use multiple custom menus (the theme only supports 1 easel menu), but whenever I use the wordpress custom menus in my sidebars the css produces strange results. The title of the custom-menu seems to get the widgit class a white oval under the title (with the default colors), then there’s a break to the background under the first link item, and then a new oval.

    WP 3.1.3 on lamp

    Has anyone here tried to use easel with the custom menu widget and had problems like this? I could go and rewrite the php for custom-widget but would rather just do a quick css hack if anyone has dealt with this.

    Things look ok for the other widgets such as the pages widget, but easel messes up the custom-menu widget

    Solution is to uncomment, and customize to your needs

    .menu {
/*	font: bold 12px Verdana; */
/*	background: #414141; background of menu bar (default state)*/
	float: left;
}

    in style.css.

    In my case to make a quick lazy change to make it behave like the other widget menus (blog cats etc) I changed it to 

    .menu {
	font: 12px Verdana;
	background: url('images/trans.png') repeat;
	float: left;
}

    where trans.png is completely transparent.

    If you don’t have a background the problem remains, but you cant double up semi-translucent backgrounds (with the easel default styling (vs desert, ocean etc) where the block is partially translucent to the rear image.
