• In my Theme Editor in the WP Admin area when I hover over “update file”, the whole button and editing window jump down. I have to then scroll down to be able to press the button. It seems to be jumping a bit lower every time. Is this a sign I’ve been hacked or is it a bug I can fix?

I am using Market Theme. I have changed my admin password and my FTP password. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled my theme but have not done anything with wordpress yet.

  • Try deactivating all plugins and check to see if this resolves the problem. If it does, activate the plugins one by one – checking the “update file” button after each re-activation – until you find the problematic plugin(s).

I just deactivated them and it still jumps whenever I hover. I guess I’ll try uninstalling wordpress next unless anyone else has an idea of what it could be.

sounds like a corrupt css file in your wp-admin/css/theme-editor

did you try it on other browsers?

Interesting! I just tried it in firefox and it doesn’t happen. (I have been using chrome).

If it’s a corrupt file I can live with using a different browser or not editing through the WP theme editor. I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t a virus or anything.

    Think I’m ok?
