• Hi,

Im having problems when updating one of my sites.
I can’t do it automatically but thats not a problem I only downloaded it and updated it manually.

I’m using a rockettheme that I have modified the background and some other stuff.
But after the upgrade my theme is totally trashed, the background is gone, the menys are wrong…
I have tried deactivated the theme manually returned the backup one and then reactivated it, but still its trashed…
    Anyone has any suggestions?

  • really don’t see how an upgrade would trash the theme unless it simply isn’t ready for wp 3.0.x series – maybe there is an update for the theme?
If your mods were in the functions.php of the theme – even a theme upgrade would not trash the theme

in the future you may want to consider using child themes – no chance of trashing your look then

    No neither do I.

This didn’t happen on my other site where I have the same theme but it hasn’t been altered by me.

But just as you say I don’t understand why it would interfere with my theme at all…

I have done so that you can see my homepage and also the updated one.
The only thing that has been done is the update!!

    The untouched is http://wcgolfers.se
    and the updated is http://wcgolfers.se/test

weirdest thing is I tried clicking around the test site and as soon as you leave the first page everything is working even the first page…
But its always [messed] up at the first attempt from every computer…I don’t understand a thing 🙁

it does the same from my computer
I don’t even have a guess as why except maybe it isn’t redirecting properly the 1st time from

But why is it only redirecting faulty the first time?if you hit home you will get a perfectly correct pageload…shouldnt that be the same file??

I have been using a theme for a while, but now I have received a message that the theme is broken, missing a style sheet. I uploaded a new copy of the theme, but the broken message persists and I can’t use the theme. Any ideas?
