    Hello,

I developed a theme visible here from scratch. I attempted to upload it to another persons site and activate it. When activated It showed up an almost blank site with a grey bar where the navigation would be. I also cannot set up settings where I normally would within the theme on my site. What could have happened in the change over? Thanks any help is appreciated.

An error im finding in the error log is that is cannot find 404.shtml. Would this cause the other sites to not be able to activate the theme? Weird how it works on mine and no where else.

Would the wordpress version have any effect?

That’s not coming from WordPress. Are you sure you installed WordPress correctly & uploaded the entire theme folder to wp-content/themes?

    Hi again,

It is installed correctly and the theme has been uploaded to the wp-content/themes folder.I tried it on two others and it shows up blank and their wordpress is installed correctly also. I uploaded to a site that has a newer version of wordpress and It finally seemed to activate correctly. I think it has something to do with the wordpress version.

What version of WordPress are these sites using?

They were using wordpress 3.3 and I updated their wordpress to 3.4.2 and it worked! Thank you so much for taking the time to look into the problem
