Theme Live Preview Does Not Work

    Hello:
    I’ve been plagued with a longstanding issue with my WordPress installation, which mgith have gone as far back as the higher versions of 2.x. That problem is that live theme preview has stopped working.

    I just updated to version 3.8. I’m able to see the available themes, and I’m able to click on the image to get more details. But when I click on the Live Preview button, after about a minute, while the left sidebar appears okay, the right side gives me a “session timeout” message, followed by the fields asking for my WordPress credentials. Once I add them in and click the button to log in, after a few seconds, the same window reappears.

    I’m stumped as to what’s causing this issue. I think I might have gotten rid of all of the unnecessary plugins when I upgraded my site a few weeks ago, but otherwise I’m not sure how to fix this problem.

    Any guidance on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

    Do you have this problem using a default theme with ALL plugins deactivated?

    Good point. I will try it within the next few weeks, as some of the plugins are big deals to turn off (especially PowerPress, which I use for my podcasts).
