[Theme: Magazine Basic] "Latest Post" Length

Hi,

I looked through all of the posts here and the comments on the developer’s site and can’t seem to find a relevant answer.

My most important question is: I want the “Latest” post on top to be the full post, not an excerpt.

Another question I have is: the excerpts seem to be plain text, removing all the line breaks or spacing I put in the actual post. Is there any way to make it render as non-plain text?

I’ve looked at over 200 themes and this was the one I liked the best, so I hope I can fix this issue.

edit: I installed “advanced excerpt” plugin, which helps, but I over-rides the excerpt length for all posts, including Latest. If i can change the Latest to not use excerpt, this will be solved!
