[Theme: Make] Modifying Header

    I would like to expand the height of the header and have the menu tabs above the header image (just like it appears here: www2.uregina.ca/education/news). To achieve this look I added the image in code to the header template. But this causes the image to load slowly. How can I expand the header height and have the menu tabs appear not in the header image but above it?
