Try deactivating plugins to explore whether any could be responsible.
If the theme’s demo website doesn’t have the same errors, you could download it again and install it.

Andrew – I just deactivated and uninstalled/deleted the chalkboard theme, tried the demo theme which looked ok and then reinstalled the chalkboard theme and still the same issue.
WPyogi – i think the link you sent me may be a little over my head. I do not know enough about html to know what is an error and what is correct 🙁
Hi Carolyn — it’s not supposed to look like that. Can you send me an email so I can help you resolve this?
Your site is trying to pull the files from /wp/ instead of the main directory, which is causing the issue(s).
Update: Issue was related to previous move from subdirectory to primary directory and not theme related.

agreed…that was definitely the issue – very grateful for the help and happy that the theme works and looks amazing 🙂
