New to WP so please be kind…

I am running host-press on my site, and am not sure where the bug is (HP or WP?). I have tried installing several new themes, and none of them appear to be able to catch the css info. There’s no formatting whatsoever, but I see the styles.css is there on the server.

    Old, default themes work fine.

Also – when I go to the theme editor, all the themes that are causing problems give me the “Oops, no such file exists! Double check the name and try again, merci.”

Have checked and double checked my file structure and so forth via FTP.

Anybody heard of this? What’s going on?

    WP 2.0.1

Do you have wordpress in a different directory then root? Check to make sure the style.css is where it should be (usually it’s called in header.php in your themes directory).

I’d recommend getting the web-dev extension for firefox and taking a look at the source/css that way, it’s made troubleshooting much easier for me ;’)

I’m having the same problems. Anybody have any advice? As far as I know, the stylesheet is where it’s supposed to be. All the files for the theme are in the same place, i.e. root->wordpress->content->themes-> (and then the theme files).

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

*note* this only seems to happen with themes I download from the viewer.
