• I’m somewhat new to using wordpress, and so any help I can get on this would be greatly appreciated.

I’m currently hosting a website, http://www.voicesofmadison.com on Bluehost with WordPress 4.1 installed. I’m using a custom theme built on this site: http://www.theme.works

I installed the theme properly, but the “theme options” menu is not showing up under appearance. I believe there are also some other menus that should appear on the dashboard which are not there. Also, the theme itself is acting funky and doesn’t look like it should. I’m not sure how else to describe it.

I tried disabling my plugins, and reinstalling them. (All I have right now is Jetpack and MailChimp, so it shouldn’t be affecting anything).

  • Do regular themes work okay? What if you deactivate ALL plugins?

Have you asked the people where you created the theme?

Other themes seem to work fine. (I still don’t see the “theme options” menu for other themes, but I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be there.)

I have all plugins currently deactivated, and I emailed the creators of the theme with no response so far.

Hopefully the creators will respond as these forums really have no way to support themes except from the ones here:
