Hello. Recently, I purchased Style WP’s ‘Onyx Portal’ template. According to the site it comes with a PDF support guide. It didn’t. Their customer support is shocking – haven’t had a response to my ticket in about 3 weeks, so thought I’d try my luck here.

I’ve installed numerous themes before so I know how to do it, but this one I’m not sure of. The zip contains –

    Files to upload (folder)
Contents are five .php files and three ‘wp-content’ folders named ‘themes’, ‘plugins’, and ‘uploads’. I’ve uploaded the .php files to the root of my hosting and put the other files in their respective folders. No problems there.

However, there’s another folder in the zip called ‘sources’. I don’t know what to do with these. Included in this folder is

    – Dummy Contents (xml document)
    – four photoshop images
    – truetype font file
    – opentype font file

I’ve tried uploaded these to the wp-contents folder. I then go into dashboard, apply the theme but it previews all messed up, only showing the header and the left hand side.

    Any help at all appreciated.

What are the five .php files? What’s in the “themes” and plugins folders?

I’d get rid of what you’ve already uploaded. What you should be looking for – as an absolute minimum – is a couple of php files (eg index.php, header.php. footer.php and sidebar.php) plus a file called style.css (and possibly additional .css files). These should all be in a single folder called something like “OnyxPortal”. This entire folder needs to be uploaded to the wp-content/themes directory.
