Anyone else with an idea of who to contact. Weaver has nothing but a forum if you like searching for hours and WP has no contact I could find. The other theme also had issues with same flashing off and on problem so I would guess it to be a WP issue .
Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
– re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
I’ve not tried that yet- I did see that in WP forum or someplace maybe on here. I almost called a grandkid to come over and help with it. Thank you for the help. I will try it and see if I mess it up or fix it. Since GAN is quitting their affiliates I may have to do someething else anyway and flip a couple sites. Thanks again and will let you know if it helps so someone else can benefit too.
I started at bottom of list of plugins and the very first plugin I deactivated was the culprit and I was able to update / customize my theme to Weaver II. Plugin causing problem was “WP-Copyright-Protection”.
