Theme problem – missing stylesheets?

I’m trying to find a new theme and every one is saying it’s missing the stylesheet once I get it loaded into ftp. I’ve even tried deleting the stylesheet that the templates come with and creating a new one. I’m using FileZilla. Advise? Am I missing something?
