theme question

    Ok, here goes; I am not happy with the very basic free themes, and wanted to do something more, but when I download some of those(also free)it seems that it takes a real pro to edit these things, and some of them lack features as well. Then there are some companies offering wordpress themes that, yes, do look better, but at the cost. Now, I am not against paying IF I get nice package, something that I tweak and adjust to my liking without being a pro.

    Check out whoothemes or elegantthemes. They both are professional and very easy to configure and both offer a very wide range of themes.

    Sorry about that, but thanks dremation, that’s what I was looking for, but also, is it a fact then, to actually tweak the page to your liking does require more know-how than just your average, and so in this case(since I am no expert)and I do want something extra, it is then better to self host and buy something like the ones you suggested?

    Yes, it does take a bit of knowledge and skill to tweak things.

    No, it’s not necessarily better to buy a theme if you are still going to have to tweak it. It may be better to find something free (GPL) that is close to what you want and then pay someone to tweak if for you. There are a lot of good, free, themes to choose from at the link below.

    Thanks, and by the way, I am sort of running a bit behind you on this, because I assumed I would not hear from you guys, like, for few days at least, but you have renewed my faith, it is so nice when people actually return the messages, silly as the questions maybe.
