[Theme: Responsive Mobile] Header Menu Issues
-
Hello,
Is it a bug or another issue that I can not turn off the header menu on my website?
I have the “Responsive Mobile” theme and under Theme – Menus – Menu Locations it shows I have 4 menu locations being Top,Header,Sub-Header and Footer
Each location dropdown has “Select-a-menu”.
Say a normal user looks at my site, currently there is a Header Menu showing but it’s not an actual menu but just a long list of all pages title I have in my site ie “Contact, About, Directions etc)
I only want to use Top Menu, so I have “MyMenu” selected in the Menu Location Top Menu, all other still have “Select-a-Menu”
So how do I turn off this header menu of page titles?
I have tried several options from the CyberChimps “Responsive” board using custom CSS but none of the CSS works in Responsive Mobile.
ie bassed on.main-menu { display: none; }The only solution is so far to create a empty menu and specify it to the Header Menu Location. This removes the page list header menu but creates a big gap between the header and the body content as the CSS margins and padding are still being applied to the empty menu.
So how do I remove this page title list from the Header Menu location or close the gap between header and content if I use an empty menu in the Header Menu Location.
Thank you

I need an answer to this too. I only need one menu. For the theme Ultra, same basic issue as described above.
If I go to Menu Locations, and I see “Top Bar Menu”, “Top Bar Social Menu”, “Primary Menu” & “Bottom Bar Social Menu”. Each one I can either select my menu content, or nothing (just “–Select–“). If I select nothing for “top bar social menu” no page links display (which I want). However, if I select nothing for primary menu, then the page links show up in an unorganized manner all over the page. Either way it takes up too much space and pushes the main content below the view port. So I don’t know if there is some other standard wordpress way to turn off unwanted menus, or just keep trying different themes until I find one with only one top bar menu that looks good.
@capt_zeanie post your site address
Sorry,
I choose another theme in the end.
Yep me too. I was able to use Bushwick theme. There is a menu I can’t turn off but it only presents as a little box with three lines so it’s not all in the way and stuff.
