For pages yes most definitely please see http://themeid.com/demo/responsive/page-templates/full-width-page/ change this from “Page Atributes” and choose “Full Width”

Is this possible with the home page? I know editing the home page is not the same as the others and I don’t see an option for full page width on the home page.
