Depends what you’re trying to do. If the comments are disabled in general settings and not from the individual pages this will still show.
I have searched all over and can not find how to disable this from each page. Where do I find this setting? Is it a simple “unchecking” of a box?

I would find having the modified date and time very useful but do not want the modified by or comments fields.

I have a child theme (from your site post) but feel a little lost now as to where I modify files? The link you give here for example suggests I copy style.css to my child_template and then remove a section of code.
If I have an existing modified style.css in my child_theme obviously this will be overwritten and I will lose the previous changes, so do I need to copy style.css to child_theme for some other reason? or do I just modify the style.css that is already there?

Hi,
Let’s say that you want to modify the header.php, what you would do is to copy header.php from parent theme and include that in your child theme where actual modifications will be performed.
Child theme doesn’t come with anything else, just style.css /icons/ and /images/ folder.

I can appreciate how it is necessary to copy complete modified files from /parent to /child, to make changes.
The style.css was my issue, as I have one large style.css in /parent and one small style.css in /child
Would I be correct in thinking that any individual changes I make to the /parent style.css should be written into the /child style.css if they are not already there? rather than copy the entire /parent style.css into the child folder before making changes?
