Did you make your changes in the parent theme itself?
IF you did that changes are the result of the updates, you should always use the child theme to modify the changes and moreover keep them safe.

Hi, I made a child theme and the footer and the slider in the inc folder is copied by making a folder named inc. The footer works fine. but the slider always reverted though it is in the child theme folder also. I will be really grateful if you could support me. thank you!

I think the issue is with the functions php in the parent theme. It calls the slider in the parent theme. One time i copied the functions in the parent theme to the child theme functions.php and the site crashed. I am new to wordpress, So I am afraid if I make any other changes again the site will crash.

I understand your issue, you wanted to change the theme’s demo slider by making a child theme but since the demo slider’s function is not plug-able the parent theme will always override the demo slider. The theme author has also advised not to use the theme’s demo slider.
You can always create posts with featured images that you like and use them on the slider

you could see the pro theme’s features which includes an additional image slider and a page slider on the customizer without the need of a child theme.
