Why is the theme available for ww.wp.xz.cn so different than the one available at WordPress.com? Very frustrating.

Themes on wordpress.com have often been specially customised.

That much I figured – I guess it’s the “hook” to keep them at WordPress.com instead of hosting WordPress them self.
