I am not sure about free ones, but in Themeforest there is a number of paid themes that are compatible with SportsPress. Sure there may be more from other developers, but it is impossible for us to know.

I was wondering about the functonality of this plugin, could users will be able to create their own teams, manage it teammates and matchs one each other?

With SportsPress you can add to your users several roles like Team Manager or League Manager etc.. For more info about the capabilities of each role please see this article https://support.themeboy.com/article/155-summary-of-roles
